1. What is Government Press?

Government Press is a Department under the Executive Office of the President as per the Executive Order No. 1 of 2023. Government Press is the Government’s primary centralized resource for producing, procuring, authenticating, cataloging, disseminating, and preserving the official information products of the Kenya Government

2. What services do you offer?

The Government Press is mandated to print and publish Government documents, e.g. Acts of Parliament, Reports, Accountable documents etc. Our publications are available at our bookshop along Haile Selassie Avenue Nairobi. We are the official publishers of the Kenya Gazette and its supplements;

3. What time do you open/close your offices?

We are open from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

4. Where are you located?

We are located along Haile Selassie Avenue, Nairobi; adjacent to The Technical University of Kenya.

5. How long does it take to print a document?

It depends on the nature of the order. You will be advised at the time of placing the order in the Production, Planning and Control office.

6. Do you accept email as official way of communication to request for printing at GP?

7. Do you sell your publications?

Yes, you can visit our bookshop within government press premises along  Haile Selassie Avenue or contact our planning office.

8. What are the requirement for placing an order?

An official request letter from your institution to the Government Printer, Sample, Hard and soft copy of Manuscript (Link to Printing Services)

9. What are the various modes of payment?
  • All payments are made through the eCitizen platform.
10. How long does an order take to be printed?

Within 14 Days after customer's final approval or as advised at the time of placing the order.

11. What are the requirement for putting a notice on Kenya Gazette?
  • An official request letter from the client to the Government Printer.
